Hey everyone, please reply to this thread with the salary cap that you are playing with for the 2019 season. Just a reminder here is how it works:
SALARY CAP: To represent MLB’s lack of a true salary cap we use a modified system with a soft salary cap and a hard salary cap. At the beginning of each season you must declare if you are playing at the soft cap or the hard cap level. You get a higher salary cap at the hard cap level but your league entry fee is also higher.
Soft Cap = $100 Million dollars Hard Cap = $110 Million dollars for the first year over the soft cap Hard Cap - $115 Million dollars for 2+ years over the soft cap
Corresponding league fees: Soft cap = $30 entry fee (no extra cost) Hard Cap – 1st year over - $40 entry fee ($10 luxury tax applied) 2nd year over - $ 45entry fee ($15 luxury tax applied) 3+ years over - $50 entry fee ($20 luxury tax applied)
***If a team goes back to the soft cap then the years will reset.***
Luxury Tax: Paid out to teams that played the season at the soft salary cap for the season. Luxury tax will be divided evenly amongst these teams and if there is a remainder amount that does not divide evenly the few extra cents will go to the highest

Wait, I assumed the third year meant that you had to actually have two years of history to play under it, and therefore all of the hard cap teams would be playing on the same level for the initial draft.

Correct...your two choices are the
1. soft cap of 100 mil at $30 entry fee
Or
2. Hard cap of $110 million at $40 entry fee
You cannot just skip 3 years ahead.

Sorry about that. Hard cap 2nd year. I misread it. I rush stuff sometimes and don't always comprehend stuff.
